We’ve had a fantastic few weeks getting into the Christmas spirit with our amazing customers…
Harewood Christmas Fair 2021
Our pop up stall at Harewood House in mid December certainly kicked off the Christmas season for us. It’s always a pleasure to trade there, dishing out free samples of beer and talking about our exciting new products. Our festive ReinBEER bottle carriers really do make an excellent gift for that beer-loving relative!
HBCo Xmas Party
This was the first year we decided to host a special Christmas party at the taproom and the turnout was fantastic. The catering from our friends at Absolute Melt was superb (we particularly enjoyed the Pigs in Blanket hotdog with crispy onions and gravy made using our very own Plum Porter!).
From surrounding neighbours to friends and small businesses, everyone who attended enjoyed a Christmas quiz, beer raffle and a rousing rendition of 12 days of Christmas! The event was priced at £15pp and included a drink on arrival, food, cracker, raffle tickets and a Christmas decoration. It’s always daunting setting up a new event as you never know how popular it will be but the support we received from the local community was great so we’ll certainly look to do it again next year.
Xmas Sing along and Sunday Music Session
There’s no better way to get into the Christmas spirit than with some music! Talented musicians Justin and Esme led the way on Saturday night playing a mix of upbeat, feel good tunes and classic Christmas bangers.
Instead of receiving tips they graciously asked for donations to raise money for charity, managing to raise £450 for Pride in Diversity Harrogate – well done!
On Sunday the music continued when friends and locals came together for our last informal music session of the year. These have been a pleasure for us throughout the year and it’s been amazing to see all of the different instruments and music genres covered over the past few months. These will definitely continue once the Taproom reopens and as always anyone is welcome to join (the more the merrier!).
Our HBCo family would like to extend a massive thank you to everyone who has visited the taproom this year or bought our beer online, it really does mean a lot. Whilst in these challenging times the future may look a little unclear, with your continued support we know we’ll make it through – Cheers!
