There’s another award to add to our collection! Plus, we’re getting into the festive spirit at Royal Parade with a brand-new cocktail menu and plenty of Christmas treats on the menu!

Taste Award Winners

We’re delighted to share that our Kursaal Imperial Stout took home the Best Beer & Cider award at this year’s Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards! Following on from Harrogate Best Bitter winning the same accolade last year, we’re thrilled to have made it two years in a row – you can spot Joe and Julie sat down in the middle!

The awards celebrate the very best of Yorkshire’s food and drink producers, so it’s a real honour to be recognised amongst such fantastic local businesses. A huge thank you to the organisers and congratulations to all the finalists and winners!

November Taproom

A big thanks to all the little monsters that turned up for our Halloween kid’s session last month, Julie’s putrid porridge game proved very popular!

As the temperatures start to drop, we have two food vendors left to join us for the year:

Friday 13th – God’s Own Grub

Stacked burgers & loaded fries

Friday 20th & Saturday 21st – Little Somboon Box

From bao buns to noodles, delicious pan-Asian street food

We’ll also be keeping things warm and cosy with the shutters down, heaters on and a special new stout on the bar.

Tickets for our Christmas party on Thursday 17th December will be available to purchase from behind the bar very soon! You can expect festive food, a Christmas quiz and music.

  Our upstairs function room is finally open and ready to welcome group gatherings, celebrations and private parties! The space will also be open throughout the week, offering a fully stocked cocktail bar and comfortable seating for a relaxed lunch, dinner or drinks with friends.
