Hookstone Hooley 2024
Our Hookstone Hooley was a resounding success – let’s take a look at what we got up to…
Our prep began on Thursday when the heavens opened just as we started to set up the marquee for our event. Thankfully it didn’t deter Matthew and our Taproom supervisor Izaak who we’re able to assemble it in no time (aka 2 and a half hours…).
After months of hard work, Friday saw the kick off of our Hookstone Hooley! Our guest breweries (Brew York, Meanwood and Piglove) were set up inside raring to go, along with our two food vendors for the weekend – Jimmy Macks tacos and Tiro Sicilian.
The tacos in particular went down a storm, along with Meanwood brewery’s bright pink Raspberry Ripple Pale ale!
We also had music from Biz Denton, Adam Boyd, Scott from Northern Acoustic, Andrew Cameron and Ramon De Juan across the weekend. Plus our friend Ryan on the decks.
Saturday was a busy one for us! Every chair and table was out towards the evening and we had an incredible day of music, food and lot’s of beer.
Family day on Sunday was an absolute flag-cracker with the weather – Julie made sure to stock up on free ice lollies for the kids and we were joined by Belinda from Peekaboo face painting with her fantastic designs.
Then it wouldn’t be a proper event if our oldest member of HBCo Grandma Jean didn’t get the party started by doing the slosh.
Finally, the festival ended on a big high, with live music and lots of dancing! We can’t thank our community enough for the support you all showed us – let’s do it again next year!
